Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our soon to be newly ordained priests for the Diocese of Scranton, Deacon Thomas Dzwonczyk and Deacon Andrew Mc Carroll. We pray that you fill them with the fire of your love and grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

We pray that there will be other young men courageous enough to follow in their footsteps and answer your call.  God bless all your priests who serve in our diocese. Grant them good health and the strength and desire to carry on their ministry. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

During the month of May, Mary’s month, we will be praying the rosary together every Friday at 11 am in the church for the intention of increased vocations to the priesthood in our diocese. Please come and join us!!

For the month of May, let’s pray for the sick and healthcare professionals. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for healthcare workers and their dedication to those in need of healing. We praise the doctors, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and all the others who work tirelessly in the healthcare system. Grant to all health care professionals’ wisdom and skill, sympathy and patience, keep them safe and preserve them from all contagion. Lord, look with mercy on all those who suffer any kind of infirmity, mental illness, sickness, or injury. Let your hand of healing and protection be upon them. Ease their fears and anxieties, give them strength and courage. When they despair give them hope. May they experience your healing presence in the skill and comfort of their caregivers. We ask this in your holy name. Amen.
